You Will Be Old in the Next Assassin’s Creed

The fourth and final Assassin’s Creed game featuring Ezio, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, is due out later this year. Since this is the last game in the Ezio trilogy, it is only fitting to have the game about Ezio’s final days in the world. Yes, that means you will play as the old Ezio.

As revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer, the insanely charming Ezio will be 50 years old when the game starts in the Roman capital of Constantinople. Now, 50 years old doesn’t sound like a lot to us these days, but do keep in mind that this is during the Renaissance era, and life expectancy of the era was around 50.

Now don’t count Ezio out just because he is an old man, because in this game, you will be doing just as much running, jumping, and climbing as you have done in all of the previous games. The game now offers a brand new zipline system that will greatly increase the time of travel in the 4 parts of the city that the developers have divided Constantinople into.

Old age usually is accompanied with experiences and great wisdom, especially in the case of Ezio. His Eagle Vision has now been upgraded. Instead of just tagging people with different color so they can be easily differentiated, Ezio’s new Eagle Vision will also allow you to track the patrol path of guards around the city. The game will also offer a crafting capability so that you can change the recipe to things like bombs to produce desired effects, instead of just blowing everyone up.

Side quests have been removed from the game. Instead, there are just random events that spontaneously occurs as you wander around the city.
