Hackers Attacked PlayStation Network Says Sony

So last night Patrick Seybold, Sony’s Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media, said that the PlayStation Network & Qriocity service were taken down on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 for investigation and to have a smooth and secure operation in order for Sony to move forward. He says it’s all thanks to an “external intrusion”.

According to Anonymous, they aren’t responsible for the attack on the PSN. Well I hope it’s not Skynet.

Currently as of this time, Noon PST, April 23, 2011, the PSN is still down under maintenance.

Thank you Valve for having Portal 2 released this week, since I’ll be playing this over the weekend. For the rest that had their weekends free and wanted to play online, my heart goes out to you all.
