Twisted Metal just got a new trailer, and boy is it intense. The rock pumps vigorously while various acts of vehicular carnage flash by onscreen. We get a look at Sweet Tooth and my personal favorite, Mr. Grimm, who rides a motorcycle. October 4th sounds like a good time to release the game considering Twisted Metal’s theme of murdering maniacs.

Update: David Jaffe has spoken on the Playstation.blog, saying that there will be a hands-on Twisted Metal event soon. After that there will be an extended version of this trailer, “Broken”. The extended version will give us a better look at the stories of Sweet Tooth, Dollface, and Mr. Grimm. Also, more info on what that tower at the end of the trailer is will be known.

There is going to be a new vehicle called the “Battle Wagon” that Jaffe says will give Sweet Tooth’s sweet ice cream truck ride a run for its money. They’ve been wanting to add it in the game ever since the very first Twisted Metal game.

Developer Eat Sleep Play has been working on this game for a few years now. Here’s hoping I’ll enjoy it as much as I did Twisted Metal 2.
