The electronica-composer trend is now here with The Chemical Brothers, fame British electronica duo, composing for the upcoming Hanna film score. The last time we saw famous music acts composing were Daft Punk for TRON: Legacy and Trent Reznor for The Social Network. This kind of makes me feel sorry for Marilyn Manson for scoring Resident Evil (the movie to me was muy no bueno).

Hanna is about a young female assassin named Hanna (Saoirse Ronan), who’s been taught to be the ultimate assassin by her father (Eric Bana). She’s being hunted by Cate Blanchett’s character. Hanna reminds me of Hit Girl from Kick-Ass, except this movie looks to be more of a serious action thriller.

The Chemical Brothers will be performing at Coachella 2011, so I’m wondering if they will be playing some tracks from Hanna or Black Swan (they scored some tracks for that movie).

Below we have 2 tracks from the score, “Hanna’s Theme” and “Escape 700″. Check out the rest of the score at The Chemical Brothers Hanna OST Myspace page.
