Did Charlie Sheen Get Ousted by the Nerds?

Seems like everyone is talking about how Charlie Sheen was recently fired from the show Two and a Half Men. I was never a big fan of the show and every time I watched it, it just seemed like Charlie Sheen was just playing himself on the show. I always kind of dislike how no matter what kind embarrassing predicament Charlie got into, people would just shrug their shoulder and say, “That’s Charlie.”
Before Charlie was let go, he was making 2 million an episode. According to last year’s rating, Two and a Half Men was averaging 15 million viewers. For the past 2 years, Big Bang Theory’s increase in popularity has come to rival Two and a Half Men. In fact, there had been numerous weeks where Big Bang Theory’s ratings beat out Two and a Half Men’s. Maybe CBS just thought it was better to let Charlie go and keep the nerds since they’re getting paid $200,000 an episode?
This is of course just all speculation. The biggest question is how will Charlie Sheen rebuild himself in the public eye. If only there was a way that an ex-drug addict, who is known for sleeping with hookers could redeem himself with just one role. Hmmm?
