Here Are Some PlayStation Phone Specs

Up until now, the PlayStation Phone’s specs has been a mystery, but recently a Chinese website, IT168, got their hands on what seems to be a prototype of the machine, and they have decided to share it’s contents with the world.

The phone will be packing a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor, Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, 512mb of RAM, 512mb of ROM, slot for microSD card, slot for sim card, and connector for micro USB cable. the phone will have a 854×480 resolution on it’s 4 inch screen. This phone will also have a 5 megapixel camera. The phone will also have a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and what seems to be a second microphone with build in noise canceling.

It seems like the phone will boot into a regular phone mode running an Android operating system. To access the game mode, the user will have to launch the PlayStation Pocket app which will throw the user into an interface that is very similar to a standard PSP’s user interface. The OS seem really standard, just everything you would expect from an Android platform.

Do keep in mind that these specs are just of the phone the website has in hand, it might not be exactly the same as the final product when it hits store shelves.

Clicking on the following link will take you to the Chinese site’s review of the phone. Note: the site itself is completely in Chinese, but there are a lot of pictures and videos that doesn’t have much commentary, if any, so if anyone wants to, you are welcome to check the videos out for yourselves.
