Sony Unveils Vaio Y Series Notebook

Besides the model being a little bit more hard to digest, this is one of the few Windows computers that can compete with the new MacBook Air series. This 11.6″ Sony Vaio Y series packs most superior features of a normal sized notebook in a small package.

A Windows 7 Home Premium 64, Core i3-380UM (1.33GHz) CPU, 11.6-inch widescreen WXGA (1366×768 resolution) VAIO display, 2GB (2GB × 1) of RAM, 320GB hard drive, Intel ® HD graphics card, W-LAN (BGN), webcam, Bluetooth, Vaio Care and Office Home and Business is all preloaded. Weighing in at just 3.2 pounds, and having a battery life of 6 hours, this will definitely have computer enthusiasts not familiar with Apple a chance to stick with Windows.

It is expected to be on retail shelves in January 2011, and will be priced around $1,350
