Latin Review is reporting that the French TVMag interview with David Duchovny was misconstrued. A public relations representative for David Duchovny was contacted regarding the recent interview. The truth of the matter was, that the interview did happen, but the French journalist misunderstood some of the responses.

“The truth was out there.” So not only is a script not being written, as far as David Duchovny is aware of, but that he also never denounced the second film as a flop. He did however say that if a third film were to emerge, he would be interested in working on it with costar Gillian Anderson.

TVMag sat down with actor David Duchovny two days ago, and throughout the conversation, a brief mention of an X-Files 3 script came forth. He was asked what major projects were lined up for him, and that’s when he let the conspiracy out! “It is being written, and it looks like a go ahead on Fox to give a green light.” He made some blunt remarks feeling the frustration of the second film being so different from the first, and the television series.
