THQ Opens New Montreal Studio with Assassin’s Creed Creative DirectorPosted 12:17 pm on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 by John 'Spartan' Nguyen
THQ has announced that Patrice Désilets, who previously served as the creative director for the Assassin’s Creed franchise and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, will be joining THQ’s new studio in Montreal. Looks like leaving Ubisoft wasn’t a bad thing after all.
“The best way we can deliver fresh, high-quality gaming experiences is by working with the best talent. THQ is delighted to have the opportunity to make a brilliant addition to our team next year with Patrice Désilets,” said Danny Bilson, THQ Executive Vice President, Core Games. “We expect calendar 2011 to be a watershed year for THQ, and adding developers like Patrice helps ensure our focus on new IP and great games charted by leading industry artists.”
Patrice Désilets and the new Montreal studio will begin working Summer 2011 on a new intellectual property for THQ. I’m a huge fan of Assassin’s Creed, so I’ll definitely be looking forward to what Patrice has up his sleeve along with the new THQ Montreal team.
