Funimation and Netflix have just recently announced a partnership that will let users stream just over 30 anime series for a limited time. Some of the content will include Afro Samurai, Basilisk, Claymore, Fruits Basket, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gunslinger Girl, Mushi-Shi, Samurai 7, and Witchblade. Another inclusion will be some animated as well as live action movies like Vexille, Origin and Ichi and they’ll all be in HD format. Funimation’s Senior Brand Manager had this to say: “We have offered our titles for rental through Netflix for years but this is the first time we have made our content available for streaming on the service,” We are offering more anime content than anyone else and we will be expanding that list over time. It’s part of our overall strategy to offer consumers our content to watch when, where and how they want to.” All of those titles aforementioned and more are currently available on the Netflix instant queue.
