Konami Introduces Anime Distribution Through Playstation Network

Konami is expanding their business with a new distribution service through the Playstation Network. Currently, Konami has a plethora of anime franchises in Japan, so there should be a large variety of content. The one downside is that the service is for rentals only. Luckily, individual episodes don’t kill your wallet too bad, with each episode priced around 250 yen, or about $3.00. Once an episode is purchased, it is then available to be viewed at any time within 30 days.

The first anime set to release on the new service is Tokimeki Memorial Only Love. The anime follows a girl named Riku Aoba, a student who recently transferred to the private Tsumugino High School. Other animes that were revealed to be released on the new service include Fairy Musketeers, Skygirls, Saint October, Quiz Magic Academy and Best Student Council.
