New Trailer for Sci-Fi Film MONSTERS

Seems like nowadays when one idea works for Hollywood, they hold on to that idea for dear life and milk the hell out of it. A new trailer has surfaced for the Sci-Fi monster movie MONSTERS. Anyone who has seen DISTRICT 9 or CLOVERFIELD will automatically notice the similarities between the films. The same can be said for the upcoming BATTLE: LOS ANGELES. While the idea seems the same, at least the story is a bit different.

MONSTERS takes places 6 years after a NASA probe crashes to earth, returning evidence of alien life in the universe. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and half of Mexico is quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. The American and Mexican military struggle to contain “the creatures,” as a US Journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone.

Pretty interesting huh?  Vertigo Films, the production company behind MONSTERS, is mostly known for its independent movies like The Cove.  So at the very least you can be assured that the  film will be deep and moving.  No word on what the MONSTERS are yet, but from the sounds they make, they seem like insects.

MONSTERS Hits Theaters November 12
