Biggest Scanlation Website Gets Taken Out

According to both SankakuComplex.com and OneManga themselves, OneManga has been permanently shut down per request from manga publishers.

A statement made by OneManga:

It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it.

We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site.

Publishers have stated that scanlation websites for manga is acceptable but OneManga was far too big to be beneficial to both parties.

You can read the full statement at onemanga’s website (assuming they are still up when you read this) at Onemanga.com, their statement on the forums located here or the article by SankakuComplex here.
