Yesterday we reported on the news of the new Fast and the Furious movie, Fast Five.  It seems since then numerous tweets have been popping up of cast sightings in Puerto Rico, among them were Vin Diesel.  Today, on his official facebook, Vin Diesel confirmed his role in the new Fast and the Furious movie as well as returning for another installment of XXX. The last XXX movie featured Ice Cube, but with a growing list of family movies under his belt, I think it’s far to say that Vin Diesel is more believable for the part. What happened to you Ice Cube?! “We be Clubbin,” that was my shit!

Vin confirms that the film will be shot in 3D and Rob Cohen will direct the project. A Vin Diesel rep also confirms that he will begin filming later this year for a third Chronicles of Riddick film. I wasn’t a big fan of the last Riddick film, but the video game was awesome. So at least I have that to look forward to.

Expect 2011 to be a year full of Vin Diesel.
