Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Multiplayer Videos

Assassin’s Creed 2 was a multi-million unit seller when it released last fall, but if you think Ubisoft is resting on its success to see the franchise slowly slide into oblivion, be prepared, because they’ve added multiplayer.

I don’t know as of yet if there are any other modes besides the one shown at E3, but it looked interesting enough. All of the players involved have their own, “mark”, who they need to assassinate. So, while you’re going after one person, there’s going to be someone else going after you at the same time. You get an indicator that shows the general direction your mark is, and your indicator seems to work better if your mark is doing things that make him/her suspicious. All of this happens in a city full of NPC characters, so there’s plenty of the usual places to hide (benches, hay stacks, crowds of people). You can also equip a couple of special items before each round, like smoke bombs and even some kind of morph ability which is used to trick the other assassins into killing an ordinary citizen.

This game acts more as a bridge between Assassin’s Creed 2 and 3, but with multiplayer added, perhaps players can be sated while they wait for the conclusion of the story. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood currently has a release date of November 16th for Xbox 360 and PS3.
